Take a shower and your depression will go away. I’m serious! As silly as it sounds it’s true. Depression is caused by external factors of negative energy. It always begin outside then slowly triggers a certain emotion. The emotion grows as you give it attention and in no time it awakens the pain in your heart (unhealed wounds) and become your state of being; what we often call a “MOOD”.
There was a time when I got so busy with tasks and decided to put my self-care as my last priority. I didn’t take a shower for 2 contentious days! GROSS I KNOW. But the lesson I learned from this experiment was BIG. I recognised the dramatic mood swing. When showering you’re not only cleaning your body from dirt, but you’re cleansing your energy too. Our aunt sisters understood that water is the key to life. They referred to water as a cleansing tool for both body and soul. They use to do SPIRITUAL SHOWERS; Where you perform a normal shower but while dropping water on your body you visualise the negative energy falling off you with the water. As if the water is stripping away the negative energy from your body part.
The danger of not showing regularly goes beyond the spiritual and psychological aspects. When you don’t shower your skin PH becomes disturbed. In addition your skin pores gets blocked. When your skin can’t breath you feel DEAD and develop frustration, anger and depression. Your state of being reflects on the outside; through your attitude (transmitted energy) and what you attract (received energy)…In conclusion, not showering can cause a great harm to one self and to the entire world.
A short advice to those who have Been suffering with depression for a very long time. YOU’RE NOT ALONE. Yet just because it’s common it doesn’t mean you should accept it. Get yourself out. Reflect on your lifestyle and what could possibly be feeding your depression. Is it sad energy you watch online? Is it your diet or your self esteem? Or is it the fact that you lock yourself at home? .. Any exaggerated action can produce negative results.
LIVE AS A HUMAN, LIVE THE RIGHT WAY.
What is the soul? Your soul is yourself. The reality of who you are. Indeed you’re nothing more than a deadless, formless and timeless soul. The idea that when your body get sick, your soul get sick which result into death is incorrect. Instead it’s because of a sick soul the body gets sick. “We’re not a human beings having a spiritual experience, we’re spiritual beings having a human experience. ”
I want you to imagine a building as your body and it’s base as your soul. The building consist of a strong structure yet if something happens to the base the whole building will fall off . On the other hand If something happens to the top structure the base will remain unaffected. The structure of the building can always be rebuilt; but the base can’t be recovered without destroying the entire building including the base.
My point is, a healthy soul is essential for survival. You must have a strong base in Order to overcome all storms of life. The amazing thing about the human soul is that it doesn’t ask for much! It doesn’t require sleep or food or money etc… It already have a permemnent life. The only thing the soul needs is a connection with it’s creator, thus a spiritual connection with god is important, it’s the only way the soul can charge itself and stay alive.
- How do I practice spiritual Connection ?
Spiritual connection can be done through praying or meditating. Basically setting an alone time with god, taking to GOD and acknowledging GOD’S existence. The process of god consciousness is a door way for the soul to connect with it’s master. The absence or lack of this process can be described as heaviness in the chest and you can actually tell that your soul exhausted and intoxicated by the materialistic world.
- How is the soul toxicated by the materialistic world?
The soul have a different nature than the body. The things that the body enjoy and desire; will not satisfy the soul. For example you see people with a sick soul and are very determined on the body’s needs. sadly they reach a certain point where their soul breaks.

- Do you actually care about the “thing” that made you depressed?
- Do you think you have control over your reality?
Often people say “You can’t control what happen to you, you can only control what how you react to it”. But what if I told you “you can control both“…The external reality is a reflection of the inner state. When you get your inner self healed, the external world will automatically align. The only reason you’re depressed is because you’re focused on the negative, on what you think you don’t have control on and what you focus on grows. As a circumstance you’re allowing your depression to grow beyond your happiness.
The truth is there’s no good or bad, everything is neutral by nature. Our mind is the instrument that define things. When your mind patterns is defining everything as “BAD”, no wonder why you’re depressed! Negative thinking patterns produce negative emotions and the emotions then create a reaction that attract a certain reality. You’re reaction controls the event, the event doesn’t control your reaction. Furthermore, The reaction you give is the product of an emotion . the emotion is born from a certain mindset or what we call a perspective. It’s like a chain reaction where one thing drag the rest. For example when you’re stuck in a traffic jam you can simply enjoy the sunset view ( turning this moment into joy) or dwel on the fact that you’re “stuck in the crowd”.
The key to happiness is to look at everything as it is, with a neutral perspective. No judgment and exactly how Shakespeare said ” NOTHING IS GOOD OR BAD BUT THINKING MAKES IT SO “. No situation is either good or bad, instead our thoughts is what define every situation. When you start perceiving things from a neutral perspective we will realise the sense of ease to accepting the situation as it is. which then will allow the energy to flow.
